American Roofing & Exteriors is a Christian family-owned roofing and exterior remodeling company serving homeowners and businesses across the Greater St. Louis area and beyond. Since 1994, our team has helped protect and improve properties with trusted solutions for roof replacement, roof repair, siding, windows, gutters, doors, decks, and commercial roofing.

American Roofing & Exteriors began in 1994 as a small local roofing company committed to integrity, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction. Over the years, that same foundation has helped us grow into a trusted home exterior company serving families, property owners, and businesses throughout the Greater St. Louis area. Our work has expanded, but our purpose has stayed the same. We are here to serve people well, protect what matters most, and provide dependable exterior solutions backed by experience, accountability, and care.
Team American
Matt Woods, owner and operator of American Roofing & Exteriors, has worked in the home improvement industry since 1985. He started as a laborer right out of high school and worked his way through the industry as a foreman, subcontractor, quality control expert, estimator, and sales representative before becoming a business owner.
In 1994, Matt trusted his faith and started American Roofing & Exteriors. Since then, his leadership has helped shape the company into a trusted roofing and exterior remodeling team known for hands-on service, strong project management, storm restoration experience, insurance claim support, and a commitment to doing the right thing.
Matt is Haag certified, serves as the company’s qualified agent in seven states, and helped launch the company’s Direct Repair Program in 2005 while working Hurricane Katrina recovery for more than a year and a half.
Born and raised in the St. Louis area, Matt continues to call it home. He and his wife, Deanna, have been married for more than 25 years and have four children and three grandchildren who have remained local. Outside of work, Matt enjoys time with family, church, travel, camping, boating, motorcycles, ATVs, and giving back to the community.
